I am 32 and I’m from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. I have a varied sporting background, starting out competing in swimming from a young age. At school I was the girl that did any and every sport I could, I even tried women’s rugby at university. I found a love for running when I left university and competed in several different distances. It was at this point I thought I would use my swimming background and buy a bike to try a triathlon. Since then I have never looked back and my love for cycling has only grown.
I completed a BSc Hons in Sports Science at The University of the West of England and most recently graduated with a Masters in Sports Nutrition through the International Olympic Committee.
Favourite Race: That’s a tough one as there are so many I enjoy, but I would have to say either TDY or the Lotto Belgium Tour as the atmosphere is just electric. I also love them as I do enjoy a stage race so I would also have to include the National Road Series Tour of the Reservoir, which was also my first National podium in 2019.
Favourite Food: I can’t answer that, I love food too much to be specific.
Favourite Music to warm up to: Anything with a good cheesy beat that would make me want to dance.
What are you looking forward to most in 2020: Relishing this opportunity to race my bike hard at the next level. Pushing myself to develop further in my cycling career and sharing the journey with a fantastic group of people.
