I’m 27 years old, Yorkshire born and bred, and a Sports Science graduate living in Leeds, West Yorkshire. I’ve been competing at UCI level since 2012 and have been lucky enough to race all over the world, including races such as Tour of California, Tour of Flanders and Madrid Challenge by La Vuelta.
Highlights of the 2019 season were winning the Tour Series title with the team and also my fourth team title, as well as bouncing back from a serious shoulder injury mid-season to take a bronze medal at the National Crit Championships. Competing in my home race at Tour de Yorkshire and getting to race through my home village was a moment I won’t forget.
Favourite race: Tour de Yorkshire
Favourite food: Roast dinner with Yorkshire puddings
Favourite tunes: high energy dance songs before racing and remixes to get me in the zone
What are you looking forward to most in 2020: I’m most looking forward to seeing what we can achieve as a team and building on our success of this year. With some great additions to complement our existing riders I think we’ll be aiming high again next year!
